ROCKLAND, Maine – September 4, 2024 – Trekkers, a leader in youth mentoring, is delighted to announce its 30th Anniversary Celebration, a milestone event which will take place on Saturday, September 14th at Trekkers. It promises to be a day filled with fun, nostalgia, and community spirit.

- 4pm – 6pm
- Trekkers, 325 Old County Road, Rockland
- Admission: Free and Open to the public with RSVP
Join us as we celebrate three decades of growth through mentorship, experiential learning, and community service. The celebration will feature a variety of activities for all ages, including:
- Vintage Photos and News Articles: Take a trip down memory lane with a special display that chronicles Trekkers’ history.
- Activities and Lawn Games: Guests will be encouraged to participate in reflection and expression activities, lawn games like cornhole, and traditional Trekkers games.
- Cookout and Chow Circle: Staff and students will be stationed at grills to provide a spread of meat and veggie burgers and hot dogs. Guests are invited to bring a side – please note the dish on the RSVP form. All are invited to join in a community chow circle, a Trekkers tradition.
“We are incredibly proud to celebrate 30 years of supporting youth in our community,” said Kate Elmes, Interim Executive Director. “This event is a wonderful opportunity for us all to come together, reflect on our journey, and look forward into the future. We’d like it to be the biggest chow circle yet!”
