My work as a studio painter is focused on capturing the ordinary and the commonplace which often escape the eye – unnoticed or underappreciated. My use of color plays a key role. Because I am interested in referencing by not representing reality, the work often edges toward abstraction. I work mainly in oils.

Artist Bio

Brooklyn-born painter, Laura divides her studio practice between Florida and the Maine coast. Waller’s award-winning paintings have been featured in ten solo exhibitions since 2015 and twenty-eight group exhibitions since 2016.
