Spiral is an exploration into materials, using textile waste and paint, transforming old into new. It honors the moments in our lives where we revisit similar concepts and experiences from a new perspective, spiraling out word to the new.

Artist Bio

Nat Shacklett (they/them) is a trekkers alum, artist, and educator living in central Maine. Their art practice spans printmaking and textile art, often inspired by quilts, community, and nature. Their time in Trekkers opened them up to new experiences and underlined the importance of relationship building for rural youth which influenced their decision to become an Art Teacher.
