I was booting around Rockland on an early fall day, interested in the light that is so special at that time of year. Something about this house just set my sense of place off to perfection, magnifying my joy at being there at that moment.

Carol Douglas is a painter and teacher from Rockport, ME. A native of Buffalo, NY, she studied at the Art Students League in New York. She has paintings in public and private collections across the U.S. and internationally.
