Aperture
Encaustic, plywood, lead, copper. 15″Wx24″Hx24″D
After visiting Epidaurus, an ancient theater in Greece, I was inspired by the concentric circles of the stone seating. I created a series of sculpture based on those concentric lines. Aperture, like that of a camera, is lined with copper which makes it grow from within.
